We believe art belongs to life, not to institutions.

There are paintings trapped behind museum glass.

For centuries, they’ve stood in the same place

while millions of people walked past.

But no one could take them home.

That thought is where we began.

Browsing becomes belonging.

a.canvas is a gallery and a store in one.

A place where you discover a work and make it yours.

Where you wander like a museum, then bring something home.

Masterpieces don’t belong to institutions.

They belong on the wall you walk past every morning.

Elephant Upstairs

In every old gallery building, there is a rumour.

Someone lives upstairs.

The footsteps are heavy and slow, but never hurried.

Wherever they have passed, the paintings seem different.

Every painting has a story that lives upstairs.

We bring it down to you.

Elephant Upstairs is the narrator of a.canvas carrying the history and soul of each work to you.
